PRINCETON, December 4,
2014:
The holidays can be challenging for those in
need and many families in Mercer County need assistance to hope for a brighter
future. Hamilton Jewelers recently
represented one of their company’s core values of “community support” with an
important donation to HomeFront.
HomeFront's
mission is to end homelessness in Central New Jersey by harnessing the caring,
resources and expertise of the community and therefore lessen the immediate
pain of homelessness. The organization
helps families become self-sufficient through such efforts as emergency food,
free clothing and household goods, affordable housing searches, job placement
and readiness skills.
Hamilton hosted a special
event in partnership with international designer David Yurman on November 6th
in their downtown Princeton location. A
portion of proceeds from the evening was reserved for a donation to HomeFront, resulting in a donation amount of $7,791. A check for this amount was presented this
week by Hank and Lisette Siegel to Connie Mercer, founder of HomeFront, in
their Trenton office.
“We are proud to support
such an important and worthwhile organization in Mercer County,” says Hamilton
president Hank B. Siegel. “My
grandfather started our company in downtown Trenton over 100 years ago, and
it’s important to my family that we always support this community. We believe strongly in assisting locally,
particularly to organizations that help families in need.”
