Leo might have finally won his first Oscar, but diamonds had their best performance of the night on this year’s red carpet. As with other red carpets this year, bold earrings and bare necks continued their trend, with the exception of a few incredible necklaces that truly stole the show. Read below for our top jewelry picks from the 2016 Academy Awards.
Saoirse Ronan

The mismatched earring trend made quite a few appearances on the Spring runway this year and we have to say, it took us a little time to warm up to the look. Saoirse Ronan converted us into full believers with her chic approach to the style wearing Chopard earrings, featuring one earring made of pearls and one made of 5.74 carats of jadeites. The whole look worked together beautifully complimenting her stunning Calvin Klein gown.

While her black and white leather gown by Versace was a little on the edgier side, her gorgeous diamond earrings completed the look with a classic touch. The vintage three row hoop earrings from 1963 made by Harry Winston Diamonds rocked 42.54 carats of diamonds.

We couldn’t keep our eyes off of this incredible Bulgari sapphire and diamond necklace worn by Tina Fey last night. Of course the necklace makes a statement on its own, but we applaud the choice of a purple gown with a blueish hue that really made the sapphires pop.

She definitely made her diamonds the center of attention wearing $3.7 million worth of Harry Winston Diamonds. The piece that got everyone talking was the 48.8 carat Secret Cluster Necklace that she proudly displayed with a very deep plunging neckline gown.

We always look forward to seeing what she will be wearing on the red carpet, and this year wasn’t any different. Julianne Moore accented her straight off the runway Chanel gown with 12.67 carat diamond circle earrings from Chopard. We love the choice of the circle as it plays off the geometric details at the top of the gown.

Naomi Watts loves her bold Bulgari necklaces, and to be honest, we do too! The beautiful, floral inspired necklace added just enough sparkle without overwhelming her already glitzy dress. Her whole look was a glamorous treat for the eyes.
