Top 5 Valentine's Day Picks

Isn’t it romantic?
Valentine’s Day tips from Hamilton

Princeton, NJ:  January 19, 2015:  Valentine’s Day is upon us, and the search for the perfect expression of your love can stop right here with diamond jewelry from Hamilton Jewelers.

The root word of “diamond” is the Greek word “Adamas” meaning unconquerable and indestructible. It’s no wonder then that diamonds have been searched the world over, fought over, worshipped and revered. The ancient Greeks believed that diamonds were “splinters of stars” fallen to the earth, and it has also been said by some that they were the “tears of the Gods”.  Can anything possibly get more romantic?  This lore of diamonds has held special allure for sovereigns over many centuries illustrating wealth, power, love, and even magical powers.

Valentine’s Day itself has a rich history dating back to the Middle Ages. The first written valentine however, was sent from Charles, Duke of Orleans to his wife in 1415 so he could profess his undying love while he was imprisoned during war.  Today, there are 141 million Valentine’s Day cards exchanged annually, making it the second-most popular card giving holiday after Christmas.  In addition to the United States, Valentine’s Day is celebrated in Canada, Mexico, the United Kingdom, France and Australia.  The earliest record of a man giving a diamond to a woman was in 1477 when the Archduke of Austria gave a diamond to Mary of Burgundy.  This rich tradition has endured the test of time and remains the ultimate testament of love and promise. A piece of diamond jewelry is the consummate expression of enduring devotion.

Here are our top 5 picks to show her your love this Valentine’s Day

No Beginning. No End. The Wedding Band by Hamilton

No Beginning.

No End.
.......The Wedding Band

The universal symbol of a love that never dies, it continues for an eternity. The hollow center is not just a place to slide onto your finger, it too has meaning. The vacant space represents a door, or gateway, to places and things unknown. These things are meant to be known and explored together, good and bad. To offer a ring to a woman, you are demonstrating the desire to walk into the unknown with her by your side.

Wear your symbol with pride and show her how much you love her...hand and hand, forever more.
